If it has so much surface tension that it is beading up than it won't do a thing. I would contact the manufacture. Also check that you haven't grossly messed up the ratio.

Record Doctor cleaning fluid beads up
I used the concentrate mixing it with distilled water and it beads up like its not penetrating. The already mixed formula I bought 10 years ago did not do that. Is this normal?
