Record cleaning machines

I own a VPI 17 record cleaning machine which I bought here about 5 years ago. I love it and I think it does a great job cleaning. However, I do not see it for sale anymore. Does anyone know if it has been discontinued, and, if so, why? Thank you for any information.

Looks like the new top of the line cleaner is the MW-1 $1499. Cleans forward and reverse and is 20 DB quieter than the 16.5.

If you go to the VPI website it shows only 2 models available. The 17 apparently has been discontinued.
