Recommendations for recent rap and hip hop recordings please.

I am conversant with early rap and hip hop, NWA, Dre, Tone Loc, 2 Live Crew, etc., and more modern music, Cardi B, Meghan, Travis Scott, etc., but hoping to get some recommendations for modern rap and hip hop that is a bit more off the beaten path.

I am not particularly concerned with sound quality (been listening to a lot of 78s recently), but others here may be, so comments on sq are appreciated.

And I realize that musical taste is subjective and many will not care for these genres of music, so please feel free to move on, or start your own thread discussing the merits, or lack thereof, of this music. This one is for musical recommendations only. Thanks.

viridian,

Yeah, you’re still a youngster. I’m 72 now, but I still look fabulous.

Or so I’m told..

I know it was a little over the top, we old guys enjoy that kind of humor.

Enjoy whatever music makes you happy!

viridian,

Sorry if I offended you. Mostly kidding. However, I have been told that if you have rodents in your home, playing rap music may eradicate them or perhaps get them dancing, which could be entertaining....

So, I guess there may be a useful purpose.

toro3,

Sorry, you are having confusing flashbacks. Must be too much rap music.

The best advice for rap music is to kick a hole in your speakers and stomp on the equipment.

I guess I don’t like rap music...
