Among others, I have a Marantz SA 8005 and CD 6007. I've had them for many years, and they are still performing without any issues. The CD 60 sounds like a safe bet!
Reading issues with Rotel CD players?
My old NAD 502 CD player finally bit the dust. I'm looking to replace the NAD with a new player at $1K or less; not interested in buying used. Several of the Rotel players that fit the bill seem to get great or glowing reviews regarding their sound, but there also are reports of intermittent skipping or not playing all the tracks on a disc; the problem does not seem to be restricted to a particular model. Have any of you here experienced this issue with Rotel players? At present, I'm leaning toward the Marantz CD60.
@oldprof If you're open to the idea of a transport, have you seen these: Audiolab 6000CDT (Black) CD transport — no DAC onboard at Crutchfield or Audiolab 7000CDT (Silver) CD transport with USB port — no DAC onboard at Crutchfield??
