Go,to Blue Cables spend $40 on interconnects and I bet you can hear the difference with 1000$ cables…
Contradicting yourself, no?
RCA Interconnect recommendations
I'm looking for a new set of interconnects and need recommendations. I'm running a Rega P3 (with Exact and Neo PSU) and a Sonic Frontiers SFL-1. In between, I will be adding a Darlington MM7B, which is on order. I was using an old pair of Cardas Ultralink 5C interconnects but find them a bit muddled. I also have a pair of Audioquest Red River interconnects and they're very bright. Any suggestions for something that's musical, clear and detailed, with good bass response?

@winoguy17 Yes I am definitely contradicting myself, I learned the hard way…it wasn’t the cables it was me… The way I had my system set up it was pulling on the cable making the connection sag… The expensive cable is a cash cow for those companies, a well made cable for a decent price is the way to go…after I did all those blind tests i am a firm believer in that statement… |
I've been really impressed with the Veritas Cables Argentum R interconnects I got a few months back. It's a small new brand that sells direct on US Audio Mart. Not the cheapest cable I own, not the most expensive either, but possibly the best value for the sound I get from it. Also had good results from other small brands I've used over the years, including Audio Art, Triode Wire Labs, and the affordable Signal Cable. My experience is that all of these small brands give you much more bang for the buck compared to the giant brands like Audioquest who spend a ton of money on marketing. With the small brands more of your purchase price goes into the actual materials and construction of the cable instead of ads in Stereophile and on every audiophile blog. |
