"Power - what is most important."

"Power - what is most important." When trying to optimize audio and video by optimizig power mangement, what is the most import aspect to initially change(Also please supply some brand names):
1) Conditioning Power with balanced power piece of equipment at system panel. Perhaps Equitech Wall Cabinet System Panel
2) Use of 240 V setups like Richard Garys Substation
3) Using Richards Grays RGPC 400 MK II and RGPC 1200S
2) Using separate 20 or 30 Amps Socket Outlets - (??perhaps all coming out of a Equitech Wall Cabinet) for different aspects and areas of system
a) Amps - perhaps using TWO 20 or 30 Amps Outlets here
b) Digital Equipment using ONE Outlet
c) Analog Equipment - using ONE Outlet
d) ?? other
3) Changing wire used from system panel to site. Perhaps should change to 10 guage. All Home Runs. What brands are best? Should these wire runs be covered by metal tubes (or something else) to provide shielding from any type of interference (esp if ling ru.
4) Check all lines to make sure they are in phase.
5) Outlets/Sockets
a) Using Cryo'd or non cryo'd Outlets/sockets in Wall
b) Using Cryo'd or non cryo'd Outlets/sockets in Power conditioning devices like Furman Balance Equipment and/or Richard Gray
6) Changing Power Cords. Which cords should be used. What Guage Wire here

Power - what is most important?
Here's an idea for self-empowerment:
1. Go buy a book
2. Read the book
3. Re-read the book
As I was reading this thread---and before I read the 1st ans. I was saying the same exact thing. Geez, do some homework;there are "plenty" pages here.---Ok now that 2 of us have pcked on you;maybe somebody'll feel sorry for you. BTW; no matter what anybody says: YMMV.
Hello. Go to member look up. Enter the name "'Lak" He has discussed and reviewed many power issues/products.
Man, it sounds like you are suffering from information overload. Most of the things on your list can make some difference. Balanced power has the potential to make the most difference. If you have the space and budget for one of the high-end Equitechs, I say go for it, and quit stressing.
A while ago, I posted some "best of" threads related to power, outlets, conditioners, etc. Here's a copy. It could save you some work in your research. I'm sure there are some more current threads, but these are some oldies but goodies. Search on the headlines and you should be fine. Listed are the headlines, the initiator and the date. Good luck.

I'm doing some research on this topic and would like to recommend the following previous posts:

That's my "dirty dozen" -- sorry if I may have missed some other really good ones. These should answer most of your questions. Note -- the first thread referenced 74 other posts of interest (I did not check these out, but Bob Bundus is one of the "guru's" in this area). Hope that helps.
Apparently, you can't use the search engine to find these titles. I don't know why. One should be able to do that, but I tried it for grins and it just doesn't work. So, here are the actual reference addresses -- just copy to the address line on your browser above.

To Sedona - I already have too many books. I was just looking for some additional input. Anyway - what book where you thinking I should get? Details are always helpful.

To Avguygeorge - Sure there are plenty of pages here but still no clear answers - in most. Also many of them are worthless - similar to the first two responses above (ie Sedona and Avguygeorge responses).

To Brooks - Thanks - your response had some direction. It was helpful.

To Nighthawk - After much homework (books, this site etc) -I agree that the Equitech is the way to go. I do have a question regarding equitech wall cabinet systems vs equitech rack system. All things being equal, would the equtech device being closer to the system (ie rack mounted) give better results then wall cabinet system (Or does the advantages of the wall cabinet systems by equitech overcome any advantage of the close proximity of the rack systems.

To Ozfly - Thank you very much, You have done exactly what I was hoping someone would do. That is help me determine which of the many postings were worthwhile. Its quite easy to say - go read up on this topic - it's of much greater help to me to have someone as knowledgable as you help me sort out which ones are most worthy of my repeated attention. Perhaps you could provide one more listing for Sedona and Avguygeorge so they can learn how to post a worthwhile message.
A final thought: IF you have access to anyone coiling (moonlighting) transformers, you can get him/her to make you a 1:1 with a large VoltAmpere product. This tranny can "clear" the mains for you. You'll plug the equip onto this tranny, and keep the tranny plugged into a dedicated line (if you have one).
