Another Columbia horn band that came out of Chicago was The Flock. Also check out the Sons of Chaplin.

Hey folks...love Blood Sweat n Tears, CHicago,etc...any other COlumbia acts from this time frame that have that "big" house sound? DId they all use the famed studio in NYC?
