Quicksilver Mid Mono - power matching

Looking at a pair of QS Mid Mono tube amps. It looks like they put out 40-50 watts depending on the tubes. I'm trying to figure out how much speaker I can power with these. I've heard sensitivity is an important concern and that I should be looking at speakers with 91db or more? Is that good advice? Do folks have thoughts, guidance on this?

I'm no expert but I can list a couple things with confidence.
  • I love the non-remote Line Stage and have seen it for $895 used, out there.
  • Having a second out wired as decooney describes has been super helpful. My Line Stage is able to send to (a) my REL sub if I want and more importantly, (b) to another amp. Mike at QS made that mod for me for $50.
  • I've heard from multiple people that non-remote is better. Since I stream a lot, there's a volume control on the streamer, anyway.
  • I swapped tubes in the Line Stage and it pairs extremely well with a couple spare solid states I have in addition to my own QS Mono 60s.
