question about adapting 6SN7 to 6922

Sorry for the double post (amp/preamp forum), but tube depots sale runs out tomorrow, so if I am going to order from them I'd probably rather do it tonight. . . .

Anyway, I was on their site and saw "6sn7 to 6922 adapters."  I was wondering about using a pair on the front of my Cary V12 as I have several pairs of different used but tested vintage 6sn7s.  I do have plenty of room in the front of the Cary where they would be going.

Is this a legitimate thing to do?
