HMMM I don't have Tidal so I can only run what I brung... Qobuz is just much more dynamic than Amazon. The drums on "Ain't No Use" are there with Amazon but they don't jump out at you as they do on Qobuz. I'm still trying to get my settings right as Qobuz keeps crashing but I'm closer. The issue now is in the middle of a listening session it just stops and spins. I don't remember Amazon ever doing that. |
@erik_squires Couldn't find Tanika Chalres : "Papillon De Nuit" 😏 I did find Tanika Charles "Papillon De Nuit" I also can't compare it to Tidal vs Qobuz but I did compare it to AmazonHD vs Qobuz. Amazon seems to be much more forward . Like on Frustrated it almost as if the dynamics have been compressed. Qobuz does have a more open sound. Neither have the funkyness of Tower of Power.

I only pointed out the spelling issue because personally the only thing worse than my spelling is my typing. I do feel the album is a good comparison of the differences in streaming services. I've just recently started the Qobuz free trial and as a comparison to AmazonHD and it is defiantly a different sound which in this case of Tanika gives the songs a different feel.
