If the two are the same how could an external version of the identical component sound better that does not make much sense.
Quality of phono pre-amp on McIntosh MX 135
I read somewhere that the phono pre-amp on the C52 is exactly the same as their stand alone MP100 phono pre-amp. I am using a MM cartridge on my TT and am using the built in phono stage on the MX 135. Would I benefit from a separate phono stage like the MP100?
