I read that the sound will get much better with a high quality IC. I forget where I read it but worth a try. I am sure you can get very good sound with that set-up.
Quad electronics & Cables
I recently purchased an all Quad system, 909 amp, 99 Preamp, CDP-99 CD. It comes with the "Quadlink" hook up cables enabling a variety of very useful functions between all the units. It also runs the system "fully balanced" according to the specifications and literature.
My question is this, is it better to give up the Quadlink benefits and go to RCA/interconnects of high quality for better sound.
Has anybody made this comparison with their Quad system? If so what cables were used?
