It's a great player. It tends to get overlooked because "Quad" is more synonymous with speakers rather than electronics.

This player has been getting a lot of forum time on the Audio Asylum so you may want to look there as well for some information. If you dig a bit here on the 'Gon it has been discussed in threads where people are looking for CD players with volume controls, which the 99CDP has.
