Psychoacoustics

I had another discussion with Gemini about this subject. I offer it here for your enlightenment and comments. It seems long but only takes a few minutes to read. I'm posting a link rather than the whole discussion.

Interesting!

It is the basic concepts but without entering into the complexities...

For example "timbre" perception is a very complex problem not even solved right now in all his aspects by science...

But to really understand acoustics power it is best to do experiments... very simple one...

That is one axis of psychacoustics, but there is also the axis of expectation bias, habituation, sequence, threshold of hearing, etc.

Hifianonym has a highly provocative/illuminating video on YouTube:

Unfortunately it is in German, but maybe with subtitles it becomes accessible to others as well. Has some funny experiments re psychoacoustics in there. Don't want to spoil it, but a really good reality check.

Thanks for the video...
