PS Stellar Power Plant 3 vs Synergistic Research Powercell 8 UEF SE

Has anyone had any experience with either of these power Conditioners?
I understand that the PS is a regenerator if someone can explain whether that is actually a real thing?
I could do a demo of both but wanted to hear if anyone is currently using either of these.
They are essentially in the same price range.

Thank you for your explanation. PS Audio is that much worse than the Synergistic, interesting. I notice that PS Audio has a certain sound signature and what I hear is a round sound more smooth. I use P12 and that might be also a little different. What power cable did you use with the P3 when testing?
