PS Stellar Power Plant 3 vs Synergistic Research Powercell 8 UEF SE

Have you done the the demo on both? What did you find?

I did and found the SR to be better in so many ways. The PP3 was veiled and masked some of the frequencies. The SR was super low noise floor yet transparent. The drawback is that it stays on with no main shutoff which the PP3 has in the back of the unit. That didn’t really matter to me. The SR Powercell 8 also has 8 receptacles vs 6 on the PP3.
SR clear winner!

Thank you for your explanation. PS Audio is that much worse than the Synergistic, interesting. I notice that PS Audio has a certain sound signature and what I hear is a round sound more smooth. I use P12 and that might be also a little different. What power cable did you use with the P3 when testing?

Yes correct,  sound signature is a good way to put it. I don't think it was really "worse" but different. I guess it really is system dependent and a matter of personal taste. For my system I felt it didn't work and I was missing something. I ran the PP3 with the Audioquest Dragon PC. Good Luck and Happy Listening!
