PS Audio GCPH Phono Preamp break in

Greetings
I have just purchased a PS Audio GCPH Phono Preamp and want to know how to break it in with out using my Turntable.
Can I hook my I-Pod to it and run I-Pod at low volume so not to over load the phono stage?

I wouldn't recommend doing that. MusicDirect has a product that converts the high output of a cd player to the low output that is compatible with a phono pre.
