pro-ject cd box rs2 vs jays audio cd2 mk3

I have been following a lot of posts here , but I have not read of any comparisons as of the 2 transports . I am on the fence about the 2 transports as it does not seem that there is to many choices in that price range. I can purchase both transports for about the same price . any body compare them yet or have any other thoughts . thanks

I bought an open box RS2 transport from Music Direct and it was a lemon.  It had great trouble locking on disc's.  The problem was present when it came in but got progressively worse to the point that I had to return it.  Jays audio transport is built much better.  It is also available while the RS2 is not.  My compromise will be to get another Jays audio transport and have my modder upgrade it including building a state of the art linear power supply.  I will sell my excellent linear tube audio power supply for the RS2.

After 75 hours on the high end Project cd transport that replaced the high Jay's Audio transport, the Project is better.  Both transports are quite good, however, I am blown away the phenomenal sound now emanating from my modded Holo dac.

I am using the standard wall wart power supply.  However, over the next few months I plan to pick up an after market linear power supply.

I would rate the Project transport as better across the board.  Again though the Jay's Audio transport is quite good for sure.   The extra dollars for the Project transport seem justified in my mind.

Now the big question is the LTA linear power supply or the SBoost power supply the best upgrade for the Project transport?  The LTA costs a few hundred more.  Curious if u or anyone else might have some insight here.

I got the LTA power supply and it is light years better than the stock wall wart on the RS2 transport.  I got the Sbooster power supply for the Project DS2 transport but have not yet hooked it up.
