Prima Luna CD-8 reliability problems?

I've had a Prima Luna CD-8 player for a couple of years now and, while I have always thought it was a great sounding cd player for the money, I have had significant reliability issues with it... first the transport had to be replaced and now the left channel is dead (and it is the channel, not the tubes). I'm curious if other Audiogoners who have (or have had) this player have also had reliability problems with it. I suppose it's possible I just got a lemon, but on the other hand, while Chinese manufacturing is getting better. quality control is still very much an issue. Any feedback would be appreciated.
