Preamp to amp compatability help.

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am seriously thinking of buying the Coincident Statement Line Stage, that has an output impedance of 500 ohms, it doesn't specify RCA or XLR so I assume its the same for both.

I would use my Classe CT-2300 amp at least initially, it has a 50k ohm input impedance  so I would expect they would be compatible.

If I go this route I expect that soon I would start to think about a different power amp. Maybe a tube amp, maybe something else. I have been looking at some possibilities and have found the input impedance varies greatly, some as low as 15k ohms.

So my question is how low input impedance can I use and still expect no compromise on performance?

Thanks for all responses, I look to your expertise for help.

Hopefully Charles1Dad will chime in he is a Coincident user and fan and has fantastic ears in my opinion. In terms of a new amp, as important, probably more important than matching amp and preamp is matching amp and speakers. Sounds like you want to go the tube amp route eventually, chronic tube-o-phile here, so it would be helpful to know what speakers you're going to be driving?
