GAN base is all the rage at a reasonable price.. 800-2500.00 or so..

I want to hear one. BUT put a brick on it, compared to the ol Krell. Might fly away in the wind.. 10 lbs vs 100 lbs and LOW heat.. That would be a change.. Krell is tough to beat when they are set up BAD, much less good..

Service your Krell with some new parts and get the GAN to boot..

@geleary123.
   Yup thank you for your service.
  My Father (rip) was a fighting Seabee in the early 1950’s. Father  in law door gunner on a Huey I think 65-67 if I remember correctly.

Lots of tear provoking stories from both over the years.
Less than 10 years old huh?
lots of fish in that sea!

   Over 10 years old - carver Sunfire 300 or 600. Send in to flannerys to be upgraded etc,
well under your budget.  I love mine,

 used Bryston.
 Look for 250-300W min RMS.

  SEARCH THE GOn sales for amps, lots good stuff there. 6K you can get any number of amazing amps!,!

happy hunting
Thank you for your service in the Marine Corps. Although I can’t help you with your question, I wanted to say my dad was also a Marine SGT, and we were brought up the Marine way. My dad even bounced a quarter on our beds to make sure we made them the "Marine way."  As a child, I hated that but now that I am 2 years shy of your age, I wish my dad was still alive to relive that. Thank you for your Patriotism.
