This approach has been around for quite a while. Look up Ginko Audio and you will save a good deal of money. You don't get all of the eye candy the pnuemo pods have but

you'll get better results. Their "Cloud" platforms are suspended on rubber balls filled with air.

I came across these very unique decouplers (isolation) feet for components. The adjustable air pressure allows components of varying weights to be used without compromise. They are not inexpensive, $325 per foot.
