PM'ing other members

how do you pm another member?

@elizabeth Fair enough. You should be able to participate in the forum  and be respected for your time and contributions like any other audiophile, and shouldn't have to modify your behavior to deal with idiots. 5068 posts should stand for something.

Funny that the Administrators did not enable the very feature for their own “Admin” handles that they enabled for the members.
I agree entirely but have only really this week put 2 and 2 together.

I will email support so they at least have a ticket of it
Interesting uberwalz. Firefox is my primary browser, and i'm using Windows 10. I would think though that the Admins should work to resolve the issue with Firefox (which is a popular browser), rather than force members onto alternative browsers just to interact with their website. My 2c.
@melbguyone.

I think that may be a web browser based issue tbh.
I have that exact problem when posting from my laptop on windows 7 using mozilla firefox, very frustrating.

However using my home pc which is windows 10 and using Microsoft edge as browser I have no issues at all.

Like now

no issue.
And while you're at it Admins, I hope you're working to fix the issue of double spacing in posts reverting to single spacing, and even half-filled lines such getting pushed up to the next line, requiring editing. Then you edit your post, hit enter and the system skews all your spacing again. Typically it takes 3-5 attempts before the system will accept your line spacing which is obviously frustrating.

I do have to say about time...lol
Excellent feature, now that IS what I call a step in the right direction!
5 stars for that
We recently added a way for user’s to more easily private message other members in the forums. Just go to the username and click on it and you will see this option from the dropdown menu.

So in summary there are two ways to pm a member, both described here.
Either main sales site of discussion forum.
That is exactly what these forums are for; to learn and share!
+ 1. Who would have thought that option was hiding behind apparently seller data/feedback?
Well you learn something new every day!
Thank you David, never knew that existed!

Not sure David
But if for example I hit your name on previous post it does NOT give me an option to pm you.

@david_ten I think the confusion is arising partly from the fact that when you click on any member's profile from a forum post, there is no option to PM them in their profile as is the case on most other audio forums. And uberwaltz's point about not being able to access the member lookup option from the discussion forums is the other rub.
Not sure what the difficulty is with respect to PM'ing from the forum if the member's username and link is staring one in the face?

Am I missing something? Thanks.
Just want to add to Melbguyone spot on post as a first step.
Make sure you are not on THIS agon page, in other words not in the discussion forum section. This has confused some members previously.
You have to be on the main Agon start page .
Go over to your name and hit the dropdown, select dashboard.
Then right at bottom of the page you will find various options there under the Community header, choose the member lookup.
It’s easy, but a bit of a two-step process. Here’s what you do...

  1. Open up A’gon’s main web page
  2. Mouse over ’Explore’ & click on ’Member lookup'
  3. Look up the member’s name you want to PM
  4. Open up their page & youi’ll see an option beside their avatar to send a message.
Once you’ve sent the message, you can check sent and received PM’s via your Inbox as normal. To access your Inbox, click on the thought bubble icon in the top RH corner of the front screen. Hope that helps!
