Sounds an awful lot like Maps and Diagrams but cannot place the song or album. Just more of a guess from the texture and instruments. Field Rotation comes to mind as well.
A side note, if you are into ambient/drone, explore Tim Hecker (if you have not already). Most notably his last, Ravedeath 1972 and the Dropped Piano's EP. One of my favorite albums of the year.
