piano works (concerto/jazz) speakers ATC/Proac/JMR/Vienna Acoustic/B&W
Sorry the post was previously accidentally sent without content, I can’t find how to delete it or edit the title.
I’m trying to look for my first hi-fi system, It seems the previous posts were either very old or the price range is way above my budget, I look forward to some input about the topic.
Trying to look for bookshelf speaker that’s good for piano concerto/jazz works at quieter volume for a small room. 10x11, my budget for the speaker is about 2K (new or used) , prefer clarity/speed over bass.
I like Harbeth P3ESR and Magnepan LRS but P3ESR is out of my budget and not enough space for latter unfortunately.
Not very impressed:
The piano sound on KEF LS50,
Dali (vocal is good but it’s overwhelming to me)
Focal (bass is a little too strong for my preference)
Dynaudio
ATC CSM 11
ProAc Tab 10
B&W 707 S2
JMR, someone recommended this brand to me for classical music, but it seems to be not to many discussion about them in English.
I’m concerned about which ones are better (or can be eliminated) for playing on lower volume, and what are the character differences between these if anyone had some experiences with them.
or any other points that I should take into consideration as a newbie.
Much appreciate the help.
