Magnapan Tympani-3 panel design-early '80s-paid $600 used from dealer
Vandersteen 1c-early '90s-about $700 new
Legacy Classics-5 1/2 years old-$2600 new-as addicting as the Maggies were (and I'm still moved by their sound) the Legacys are more neutral, dynamic and detailed. I hold these qualities higher than the rest.
