Perlisten D12 03-00 Error Code

Hello,

Wondering if any Perlisten D Series subwoofer owners have encountered this error code before "03-00". Subwoofer won't work at all. Turned it on and off multiple times to no avail.

Sent an email to Perlisten and waiting.

Sadly subs are brand new, other one is fine.

Thanks

So was told it was a power supply error code, but gonna try a firmware update (but backwards).

Currently v1.25 most recent firmware which my subwoofers have, they want me to go back to v1.23.

Don't see how power supply can be fixed by firmware, and since my other subwoofer is fine, I feel like this might be a dud unit.

Well see.

Still have to try rebooting the firmware down from v1.25v to v1.23... My computer and tech support skills are marginal at best and only had a late evening to try unsuccessfully to update the sub. Perlisten is doing good hand holding thus far.

Hope to do the software reboot tomorrow.

I'll post my results and links for software tools Perlisten directed me to should this work.

Okay...Success!

Changing subwoofer software from v1.25 to v1.23 worked.

Here’s the process

Download the program STM32 and get the software ZIP file from Perlisten and follow the steps, just need a USB cable to update.

This dreaded 03-00 came up on my D12s about two weeks into enjoying how great the sub blended into my system.  My D12 came with versions 1.23 and I call perlisten, Erik answered and has been making every effort to fix my sub.  He had my forward to version 1.27.  Did not work.  He sent me a label and Fed Ex shipped to San Mateo where a local dealer is that has a tech who can fix it.

Erik told me that Perlisten manufacturing in China received a batch of Mosfets that did not meet spec and my D12 may be the issue.  I'm glad I bought a new one with a warranty, even if it is a perlisten

@philzoomer They really are fantastic subwoofers and I felt like I was listening to something special from the very beginning. However I do feel a little bit conflicted with these kind of problems coming up, and I have not updated my subwoofer because of it. I am still operating on the original software and I'm somewhat nervous about changing it.

they sent me out an amp and i swapped it out. It was working for the last 3 months and it was working great. today i got the same error on both of them! I tried firmware 1.23 adn 1.25 and neither work. contacted them, hoping it's an easy fix.

when they both work, ti's absolutely stunning. trying to figure out what the problem is. hopefully it' sjust a new firmware

@gadgetfreaky wow! Sorry to here it. Again I’m at firmware v1.23 and I’m not gonna change it.

This would really bother me, and you seem to have more patience and tolerance then I do. Seriously keep it up.

But to end on a positive, I also have a pair of JL E112’s, and Bower’s and Wilkens DB2D's. The D12 Perlistens are without a doubt the most linear and smooth sounding of them all. They might not be everyone’s cup of tea, maybe akin to a Magico Speaker. But it’s so cool to hear a product that as soon as it fires up your like "I’ve never heard the music and bass sound like this before."

I love the D12, but for the Money I can’t say enough about the E112. They’re fantastic and the low pas high pass filter is a game changer. I have an external JL sub crossover with the D12’s to high pass my Sopra ’s while sending a full signal to the persistent to do the low passing.

This D12 Sopra combo has been my favorite so far. Sadly my DB2D pair hasn’t really wowed me. I do feel their sound mode selection defaults (music vs movie) does have an appreciable difference, but feel like maybe they don’t dig as deep as their specs would lead you to believe. But again this is early impressions in a horrible room, and I wanted them enough to buy them and don’t regret it.

The DB2D subwoofers are my new pair of subs and I have them with Technics SU-R1000 in my Gym, which again doesn’t do them any justice. But we’ll see, I have 5 pairs of subs in counting, and I haven’t even tried out my Zu subwoofer yet.
