In case A, there's the possibility of a HP filter being inserted to remove the low bass from the main speakers. In case B, that possibility doesn't exist. The user's manual should say so.

Passive Sub Woofer connections ??

My 3rd system has a passive sub.
The NHT sub has a pair of right/left channels.....in/out.(8 speaker terminals)
No provission for coax.
Question:
Should I go 4-wires from my amp to my sub, then 4-wires from the sub to the speakers.
OR
4-direct wires from my amp to my apeakers, and 4-direct wires from my amp to my sub(sharing the speaker terminals on my amp with both the speakers and sub)
