I use the XA60.5's to power my Magnepan 3.6's in a medium sized room (28X16 ft).
They can play very loud (IMO) with the meters moving very briefly to 1:00 o'clock on a few, very dynamic peaks.
Per a phone discussion with Pass labs (Kent English), they say they hear no sonic loss when the meters bounce very briefly to 1 o'clock. Try covering the meters. You will not hear any sonic loss.
I listen mostly in the dark, and cover the meters with a thin card board. Otherwise the meters look like two blue headlights. I know the volume setting that makes the meters bounce too much. At that level the speakers are seeing peak power over 230 w/pc into 4 ohms.
You should be OK IMO, unless you are a heavy metal head. Why pay for power you do not use? I would not move to the XA100.5 or XA160.5. Too much $$$ IMO.
The smaller amps are also sweeter and warmer sounding.
