I have owned the v1, v2, and v3. They all sound like paradigm. (not sure if that helps) My personal favorite is the v3. I wouldn't make the step back to a v3, even if you haven't owned it yet. Since you have already heard it, if you go with the v2, you'll be thinking about the v3 the whole time. The v3 is more efficient, has tighter bass at the bottom end, and I think images better than the v2.
