It will change the radiation pattern and make it irregular in the horizontal plane. Whether that matters to you can only be determined by an audition.

Paradigm SA-35 orientation
I have to move from floorstanding Studio 60 v.3's to in-wall, and I choose the SA-35. Due to placement issues, I was wondering if they could be mounted sideways - with the tweeter on the inside of the listening area without any deterioration of sound. They will be mounted on either side of a fireplace. Ceiling is 8ft. Any guidance appreciated.
