Palladium II transformer hum silenced, thanks

I purchased a pair of Palladium IIs about four months ago and intermittent transformer hum has been driving me crazy. I did a search here last night for "transformer hum" and one post mentioned diode type light dimmers could cause toroid transformers to hum. I turned on my amps and went through my house turning dimmers on and off. Sure enough, the dimmer in my upstairs bathroom was the culprit! I removed the dimmer and the transformers are dead silent.
