Pairing surround processor with tube power amp

Hi,
Does anybody here has experience pairing surround sound processor, such as Krell or McIntosh with tube power amps? I am currently using CJ Premier 12 monoblocks with JM Lab speakers. In stead of connect a HT multichannel amp bypassing the stereo pre-amp, I am wondering what will happen if I just use the surround processor?

I paired a theta casa nova with cary slam 100 monoblocks and manley 440/200 monoblocks driving soundlab m2's; very nice without problems.
The theta performed very well even just using it for 2 channel stereo;I think you can find several processors that will play very nicely in stereo and also perform its duty as a processor.
