Original price of the Conrad Johnson PV-5

I'm doing some reviewing and it would be handy to compare the PV-5 I use, circa 1984, in 2015 dollars. Does anyone recall the original prices of the Conrad Johnson PV-5 and PV-8 preamps? Also, would anyone have a link or scan of reviews of these preamps?
