OPPO 205 vs Aurender N200

Hello!

Currently I own a OPPO BDP-205, which I use as a streamer and as a DAC, with the balanced outputs connected to a Hegel P30 preamp.

I’m considering the option of purchasing a Aurender N200, which would be connected via USB into the OPPO, which would work as the DAC.

So, in your opinion, is it worth the upgrade? Or the OPPO itself as a streamer is enough?

I would just get a high power Mac Mini and use the Oppo as a USB DAC.
The Oppo's DACs are really quite excellent. A full fledge computer can take you anywhere. Put a big hard drive on it and store Hi Res Files and your entire CD collection. Takes up a lot less space! You need to have a drive to play discs and the Oppo is excellent at it. You can spend a lot more and do worse! The power of intelligent design. Too bad they left the market.
