Opera Consonance CDP...couple questions

1)I've had this for a long time (20 years?), don't even remember the model (2.2?). It still sounds great. However, since I'm still looking at some system upgrades, I was curious as to whether newer ones add any better listening.

2) I've lost the remote for this CDP. Anyone know any dealers who might be able to get one? I have reached out to Opera, but haven't had a response yet.

I had one one those a long time ago. 

You will likely gain the biggest improvement going with a separate transport and DAC.

If you are interested in Higher Resolution than CD, such as Blu Ray Audio or SACD then you might want a player that adds that, and a Universal Player may also have a digital input to allow you to add an inexpensive streamer such as a Wiim, if that interests you.

  If spinning CDs is the goal, then add a better DAC

I googled Opera Consonance CDP remote for sale and one expired ad came up and one that makes their own replacement remote for it. They are out there if you are patient and keep looking.
