Open Baffles with Subwoofers

I wanted to take crossovers out of the equation (for the time being) and put together a bunch of speaker options, simple cabinets and open baffles mostly, using my SVS 3000s as the Woofers/Subs. I was thinking the Fostex-87E and speakers like that that only go down to about 200hz but have nice top ends. Are there going to be timing issues or any other issues Im not taking into account with the woofers and speaker drivers. Im not looking for perfection, just something that sounds really good to me.

@unsound and others interested, check out the OB/Dipole Sub offered in kit form (only) by GR Research in association with Rythmik Audio. Similar in design to that of Linkwitz, but with superior 12" drivers, H-frames, and the Rythmik Servo-Feedback circuitry. Ideal for use with planar loudspeakers as well.
