Onkyo Pro SC885 on screen menus- are there any???

I am trying to get my on-screen menu's to work on the tv display, such as volume levels and input etc....I have it hooked up from S-video TV to S-video monitor Onkyo. I don't understand. TV is on Video 2 and pic and sound comes up. Only on-screen is the menu of the Onkyo set-up. No volume or source or anything. I had Yamaha Z1(gold) receiver and same hook-up worked and all on-sreens(volume,source,same as displayed on yamaha window. displayed on tv.......Help anyone.......
