One Lonely Night, magnificent

I may be very late in "discovering" this recording, but its a definite example of better late than never.

This is a 2-CD recording of/by Mary Chapin Carpenter, recorded in 2020 (during the COVID pandemic lock-down), alone, solo, on an empty stage in an empty venue (Wolf Trap near DC), and its stunning!

I've appreciated her music for some time, saw her live a time or two, but this recording is over the top beautiful.

Maybe someone else would like to know about it and give it a listen.

I was not a huge fan, but I did see her in concert with Shawn Colvin at the Sheldon ln St. Louis. Very nice performance.

One of my other favorites by her, perhaps you own it too, is "The Things That We Are Made Of".

Most especially one song on that recording about Ben Bullington, driving to his funeral in Montana.  It's called "Livingston".
