For $24,000.00 consider the Fleetwood Deville SQ instead , I have them and couldn’t be happier with my setup.Synergy with all components is very important,it took me 3 years with trials and errors to reach my final holy grail sound for my ears.Its all about you and what you hear and not the others.

For 11K I'll keep my awesome Borresen X-3's....with Tube pre and Ganfet amp.

@vicdior – I couldn’t agree more. I’ve owned them too, and I still haven’t come across anything that matches their midrange engagement and vocal realism. They’re truly special in that regard.

I also had a chance to spend time with the Icon 12s recently. The pair I heard had minimal hours on them (maybe 24 at most), were powered by whatever was on hand for break-in, and hadn’t been properly positioned — so far from ideal conditions. Yet even in that rough state, it was clear: these are my next speakers.

They retain that horn-loaded magic found in the DeVilles, but the Icon 12s go significantly further — particularly in bass depth, texture, and overall body. That’s simply something a larger driver and cabinet can do. It’s not a knock on the DeVilles — they’re excellent speakers — but this isn’t really a fair comparison given the scale difference.

I also know a few folks who own both the 12s and the Verdande, and they’ve paired them with a wide range of amps. So far, the favorite match? First Watt SIT-5s — a pairing that brings out their full potential in terms of tone, nuance, and speed.

Qualio Audio yes , they are excellent I just ordered their Ultra Loudspeaker 

myself being in Audio over 40 years most loudspeaker Mfg go cheap ano the critical Xover and I mean Thst for sure even a $25+k

using electrolytic capacitors in the bass which is a disgrace or cheap Solen capacitirs ot sand cast or $3 resistors or  wire wrapped around a 🧲 magnet 

called a sledge hammer inductor ,cheap junk that gets saturated easy preventing 

quality lock on imaging at higher volumes .

if you were not referring to Qualio you should this is a $25-$30k Loudspeaker for 

around $13k shipped in a wooden crate

i own and mod some very good loudspeakers myself  this one is a who who of excellent brand name drivers, wiring as well as WBT connectors 91 db efficient 

and the ability to tune the Mundorf AMT tweeter and even byamping  for the Bass .

I loved the sound at this year’s AXPONA. I found them engaging during my brief visit.
