NRG The 5 Power Cable

I received my. 1CS power cord yesterday. Great packaging; Nawaz uses soft,  pouch-like spectacle cases to protect the IEC and wall plugs with the NRG Custom Cables logo on (nice touch👍)

Didn't have much time yesterday (or the rest of the week)  to listen,  but straight off the bat,  after replacing the Wireworld Stratus 7 feeding my WW Matrix 2 with the NRG. 1CS, the noise floor dropped considerably. Presentation was more relaxed, greater separation,  bass notes more defined.

Early days yet,  but I will leave my system playing while I'm upstairs working for the rest of the week and listen again in a couple if days. 

From the early impressions,  I can't see the WW Stratus being plugged back in anytime soon 👍

Just an update on my previous post; I received confirmation this morning that my cable is ready and shipping ordered. 

Just worth mentioning,  Nawaz, the owner of NRG Custom Cables is a great guy to deal with,  super friendly and helpful and willing to share his knowledge/experience.

Just have to wait for UPS to do their thing now 😊

@zazouswing  thanks. I searched it up and read up on it. Very interesting. I guess it made me ponder what I want a power cord to do. 

There was an extensive cable shoot out published a while back. They spoke highly of the cable - and it was about the only cable on the list I could possibly afford. I’ve had my eye on it ever since - but no real word experience. 

@gochurchgo I have the. 1C on order to replace a WW Stratus 7. One of the few boutique cable builders/retailers I've seen outside of the UK that offer UK plugs, so I was curious and took a chance on one of their cables.

Estimated shipping is 22nd Aug, but I'll feed back when I receive the cable, probably around the end of the month, early September 👍

     Never fails to amuse, when the resident, imitation intel (snort of derision) operative, quotes another fictitious character.     ESPECIALLY about, "self-deception".
