If's the same one that clean clothes and the like, fluff and hair remover. wash it under water to clean it. It won't clean what is in the record groove though.
Not an ad but...
If anyone is on the fence and is considering THIS, I can highly recommend it. It's so simple to use and does a PERFECT job of cleaning your record of dust prior to playing. I think it's great because it doesn't move the dust and debris from one place to another (e.g., from your record to your plinth) like brushes do. It picks it up and holds it until you wash the roller. Also, I don't think it creates any static electricity. It's also easy to clean (water) and is super cheap.
FWIW, I run it over my record with the turntable NOT spinning via motor. I just go back and forth along with the grooves and move the turntable manually. Running it over the record with the motor/belt running, to me, seems to add stress which I'm not comfortable with. My $.02. YMMV.
