Non-factory options for repairing PS Audio GCPH?

Can anyone recommend a company/individual to repair my GCPH? It's got an intermittent static/crackling issue, and one channel is about 6db quieter than the other...

PS charges a flat $250 for any repair which seems steep for my situation.

Is this something a skilled audio repair person can fix, or is PS technology (gain-cell etc) so specific that I need to send it to them?
