Once I got the number of springs correct for the weight, I sprayed the entire assembly with 3M rubberized undercoat. This appears to have made them noticeably quieter.
Good suggestion, thanks. I will try to listen for resonances. The coating is a spray that only applied a thin coat. This did not seal the springs like on Townsend Pods.
I put a sets under subs and speakers. When I leaned on a sub while reaching for something on the floor, I could hear some spring noise. After the application of the rubber compound, I couldn't hear that anymore.
