I had the R630 and I didn't like it. Great for classical but not good for rock. It sounded thin in the upper midrange, not doubt due to the ribbon. I've found that not many people agree with me but stick by what I say. The R630's woofer bottomed out at high volumes too. They have great detail and imaging though. I don't miss them a bit.
