New York Philharmonic To Move

The New York Times reports that the New York Philharmonic will be moving from the "flawed" acoustics of Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall to Carnegie Hall. The move could come as soon as 2006. Wow, a world class orchestra in a world class venue. NYC rocks! Too bad I live in Orlando. What's the difference between Orlando and yogurt? Yogurt has an active culture. Don

Are you sure your info is correct? My sources tell me that the NYPO were moving to the Meadowlands and that the J-E-T-S were moving to Carnegie.
Onhwy61, I heard that the Meadowlands were moving to NYC and the JETS were moving to San Francisco (better acoustics).

And in all seriousness Elgordo, Carnegie would be a GREAT move for the NYPO.
The NYPO and Carnegie Hall released a joint statement today to the effect that boards of the two institutions had agreed on a merger between the two. CH hopes to have the NYPO performing there on a full-time basis in 2006.
