New Review on AricAudio amplifier & speakers

Hey Everybody,

Just submitted to Stereo Times a review entitled "The ultimate combo for SET aficionados". The review covers the superlative AricAudio Super 2A3 SET two chassis amplifier and Aric’s first pair of speakers called the Spectre 12 speakers that he designed to be matched with SET "Flea Watt" amplifiers. If you own any of Aric’s tube creations or use SET amplifiers you owe it to yourself to audition them with your SET amplifiers. Very special in design and build quality. The details about this combo will be in the review. However, both are special pieces and deserve attention here on AudioGon.

Hey Guys,

I submitted the review yesterday, so hopefully will go up in the next ten days on Stereo Times. If you want to see how the amplifier and speakers look go to AricAudio website, which of course contain specs and information on them. I found the combo to be extremely musical and wanted to give GON members a heads-up about them before the review comes out. If you are an owner of Aric’s gear already you surely should look at these speakers that were designed for SET or low watt tube amplifiers.

Anything with “ultimate” in the title or description gives me a pause….as if there’s such thing in audio 😊

Hey lalitk,

I agree with you that there is no "ultimate or best", but many wonderful pieces of gear on the market. However, Aric's new Spectre 12s are one of the 'best" speakers that I have experienced regarding how it performs with a SET amplifier.
