New remote for Emm DCC2

The original aluminum remote I"ve got for my DCC2 seems to have a mind of it's own. It is rarely responsive to the touch, but after shaking it around, can sometimes do what I want it to. But just as I get it to obey my command, it starts randomly sending signals to the player.

Has anyone tried to get a new replacement of the emm remote? How much was it? I can't seem to get a response via phone/email from Emm.
