NEW Cerious Technologies Upgrade - Graphene Matrix Cables

CT Graphene Matrix Cables:

I have been using the CT GE cables for almost two years.
I recently traded up for a full loom of CT Graphene Matrix cables, including speaker, interconnect and PCs, and I wanted to share my experience. I started by replacing only the ICs to try and hear the differences.

The new Matrix interconnects sounded better than the GE immediately after install. I found the original Graphene Extreme ICs to be good but not on the same level as the outstanding GE speaker cables. As break-in started to clear things up, I can hear more clarity and detail not heard before. The ICs are incredible on their own and at the 30 hour mark, I can hear a clear superiority over the GE ICs. I recently started using the Teo Game Changer ICs and preferred them over GE but the Teo has now fallen to the new Graphene Matrix ICs. My Teo’s were and are great, and it is stunning to experience Cerious Technologies commitment to making great technology better.

On the third day of listening to the GM ICs. I couldn’t wait anymore, Having too much fun. I then installed the speaker cables and power cords once I had a pretty good feel for the sound of the GM ICs.

With the full loom of GM cables running in they are going through some strange changes and definitely need time to settle down before realizing what they can really do and very important Bob says to not move them. Since I have a home office I can let them run in all day. I’m at around 120 hours now and they are still improving. Here’s what I’m hearing:

Extended highs and tighter lows.
More detail and better low level listening
Drums are tighter, more clearly defined. So real is the snap of the snare drum. The bass has more depth, seemingly goes deeper, lower. This aspect stands out the most.

I am not in the industry, I’m not an engineer, I don’t work for Cerious Technologies, but I am a fan of the cables and am enjoying what my system is capable of.

I’m closer to my own pinnacle of sound reproduction than ever before.

Teo vs Matrix; seem to me that one has to compare the two that are in a similar price range.
For example the Matrix Interconnects and the TEO Ultra's. Now that would be a fair comparison in my opinion.
On my Plinius Reference amp in my system the Matrix was better.  That’s the only comparison I made with those two power cords. I shipped the Matrix back to the owner so I no longer have it. Ozzy might be able to answer that question for you more so than myself.
I believe aniwolfe and t_ramey are correct.
aniwolfe is keeping me updated with his keen find info powers ;-)
Congratulations Bob :-)
I'm eagerly waiting for my Matrix speaker cables ;-)
I received my 10' Matrix Speaker Cables this morning from the FedEx delivery. I've got them on my cable burner for a week and then into system #2 they go. Wow, those cables are heavy 8.5 pounds per individual negative or positive cable!
I totally agree regarding the Matrix Speaker Cables they are outstanding and sound wise they do everything correctly. Could easly be the last speaker cable one buys.
Yes, I agree...Bob, enjoy your vacation time ;-)!
Boy, do I feel lucky, my 12' Matrix power cord (gold terminations) just got shipped to me yesterday, anxiously awaiting its arrival probably Thursday.
I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here as I've done that before on other Audiogon Forums regarding power cords and quite frankly I need a break from comparing and contrasting.
I've heard the 5' Matrix (Rhodium) power cord on my Plinius SA Reference amp and it sounded very good, I have no complaints.
I received my 12' Matrix power cord (Gold connections) Thursday and instead of putting it on my Audiodharma cable cooker as I usually do, I put it directly into my system. The Matrix is plugged into a Furutech GTX-D Rhodium Duplex outlet feed by cryogenically treated 10 gauge wire and a 20 amp dedicated circuit breaker. The Matrix power cord feeds my HFC MC-6 Hemisphere that powers my Preamp, Phono amp, FM Tuner, Transport and Dac. Out of the box, the Matrix Power Cord sounded very good. I'm awestruck at the level of improvement I hear compared to other power cords in the same price range. I must also note that it's not a direct comparison since I had previously used a much closer Furutech GTX-D Rhodium Duplex outlet feed by 10 gauge wire and a 20 amp dedicated circuit breaker. I don't think you can go wrong with the Matrix Power Cord, I'm very happy with it.
I'd like to add that all of the Matrix products that I've added to my system (power cable, digital cable, interconnects, speaker cable) sounded very good directly out of the box and in my opinion only seem to sound better with use.
@littlecx, your question might be more beneficial if you were to specify which Matrix cable you are talking about and what cable length.
I have a matrix 12 foot power cord and I do not notice a deterioration of music with a shorter matrix power cord.
@doitwithlife, Sounds to me like you can't lose either way. I ended up using my Graphene Matrix Gold on my Hemisphere and moved my HFU power cord to my Dac. You win either way. ;-)

Has anyone tried to phone Bob in Arizona?
I have to believe he is still in business!

I very much like Bob and the Cerious products, especially the Graphene and Matrix lines. With that said if you are already using a Graphene Blue power cord (if I understand your original question correctly) on your REL subwoofers, I doubt that upgrading to the Matrix power cord is going to make an improvement with the subwoofers. If there is an improvement for me personally it's not going to be worth the upgrade cost. I will admit I have not compared the Graphene Blue to the Matrix power cords on my Subwoofers.
@calloway probably not but that's just my opinion. I've seen similar posts in the past that were made simply as discussion.

The Name Graphene Lumniscate comes from the combination of Luminescence (Light) and the term Lemniscate, which is the mathematical formula for that which we [filtered] an “Infinity” sign. Together we get an Infinite light.
While every new product would seem to be a new design or concept, not so with Lumniscate. That is because designer Robert Grost does not do things the way “Normal” people do. The entire process of designing and manufacturing cables begins where every project begins with Mr. Grost – with the design of the theoretically perfect cable. Invariably, these designs cannot be produced and put into real world form. But...that is the point. Through this process radical manufacturing processes are developed over time that ultimately prove to be more valuable than a mere cable or consumer product would be. Graphene Lumniscate is not a radical departure from Graphene Extreme or Graphene Matrix. Graphene Lumniscate is a large step closer to our ideal conductor with entirely new concepts in material science.
Not limited by cost constraints Cerious Technologies was able to break down barriers previously limiting the performance of both Extreme and Matrix. Indeed, one element of Lumniscate is the unique approach to Grounds, utilizing proprietary large crystal 6N (99.9999%) pure Silver ribbon conductors made for Cerious Technologies in Germany. Each foot was polished after extrusion to a mirror finish so that the equally proprietary aqueous Graphene and Ceramic solution would not adhere to the Ribbons themselves, but would move to fill every void surrounding each ribbon. This Graphene and Ceramic solution not only fills in the gaps to form one coherent conductor, but also acts as an efficient Damper. Graphene, after all, is individual atoms of Carbon. Lumniscate has raised the bar, achieving damping at the Atomic level. The silent backgrounds that Matrix is so well known for have been surpassed by a surprising margin in Lumniscate. They are now scary...
Matrix was a large step up from Extreme, especially with regard to low level signal devices, namely interconnect and digital cables. Due to their smaller scale more elements of our ideal design were able to be instituted. In Lumniscate we have functionally turned our Loudspeaker Cables and Power Cords into large signal “interconnects” utilizing the same 6N 99.9999% pure Silver as the backbone of all Graphene Lumniscate products. Every inch is custom made and configured even before each individual conductor is hand made out of this pure Silver, Carbon Fiber (made by Toray, the finest available), Graphene and Liquid Ceramic which acts as the agent for our aqueous Graphene. Each conductor is housed in a medical grade Teflon tube, and then hand wound into a specific configuration within the outside jacket. Our aqueous Graphene solution is then flowed into our outer tube to surround the individual conductors and “lock” them into place. This process does require some time for the Graphene o move into place. For this reason, users should avoid moving Lumniscate once connected within a system, as this damping will improve over several weeks yielding quieter backgrounds over time.
