Need to fix a dent on my Gallo Ref II - ANY help appreciated

Hello All,

Much to my chagrin the UPS troglodyte who delivered my Gallo Ref II's almost 20 yrs ago dropped them and NEVER said a word! He apparently dropped one of the the speakers on its top and caused the tweeter to dent the top of the sphere enclosure. The owner claimed to have shipped them insured but that trail grew cold and I was never able to do anything about it. They still sounded great and easily beat my PSB Stratus Gold's, and my Von Schweikert VR4's in side-by-side comparisons.

Long story shorter; I located and acquired those funky rectangular plastic rivets a few years ago and I have seen a few instructions on how to take them apart, but I am also aware the tweeters are no longer available so I don't want to screw them up in the process (since it is the top sphere connected to the cylindrical tweeter that has the dent in it). I am also ignorant when it comes to working with extruded aluminum so I don't want to break or tear them or do anything to affect the sound quality when I try to remove the dent.

I will be very grateful for any pointers you guys might have.

Cordially,

Luynes
